The Jungle Party, Malta’s annual community-run psychedelic conference on consciousness, returns to Tigullio, St Julian’s, on 25 and 26 September 2026 for its fourth edition – expanding to two full days for the first time, with almost 20 hours of workshops alongside talks, local art, live performances and music across four spaces, our aim is to bring awareness to the new science of psychedelic medicine which helps tremendously with Mental Health issues previously thought to have no cure, including depression, addiction and PTSD.
Titled The Jungle Party 4 TranscenDance – with the “4” read as “for” – this year’s edition brings together speakers, practitioners, artists and musicians to explore consciousness through science, philosophy, breathwork, meditation, art, music and dance. The idea is simple: to create a space where people can encounter new perspectives, question how they understand themselves and reality, and connect with others curious about the same questions. The Jungle Party uses “psychedelic” in its original sense – from the Greek psyche (mind) and deloun (to reveal), meaning “mind-manifesting” or “to reveal the mind”. Now in its fourth year, the event approaches consciousness as a subject to be explored rather than an unanswered question with no attributes to discuss. It is educational and community-oriented, and no psychoactive or illegal substances are provided or sold.
Across four spaces, the programme features 11 workshops – totalling 19.5 hours of facilitated sessions – alongside a full programme of talks. Highlights include:
“The Jungle Party is offered by a group of friends who believe a different way of seeing is possible. We run this as a labour of love — not-for-profit, and most years at a loss — because we think Malta needs a space to question the stories we’ve inherited about reality, and to imagine a better future than the one our past predicts. With mental health challenges growing on the island, we’re offering nearly twenty hours of healing workshops, a full programme of talks, and a gallery of local artists — wrapped inside a beautifully crafted party. The psychedelic renaissance is a global conversation about consciousness and healing, and Malta can be part of it. Come see it for yourself,” said Raúl Pessoa, founder of The Jungle Party.

We use the word in its original sense. Coined in the 1950s from the Greek psyche (mind, soul) and deloun (to make visible), psychedelic means mind-manifesting — describing anything that reveals the workings of consciousness: meditation, breathwork, art, music, dialogue and inquiry. Our talks include the current clinical research on psychedelic-assisted therapy, presented by qualified speakers. The event itself is educational: no psychoactive or illegal substances are provided, sold or permitted.
The Jungle Party is a community-run, not-for-profit conference founded in Malta in 2023 and held annually since. Its fourth edition, The Jungle Party 4 TranscenDance — read the “4” as “for” — brings together speakers, facilitators, artists and musicians to explore consciousness — understood in the broadest, mind-manifesting sense — through talks, workshops, art and dance. The event is educational; no psychoactive or illegal substances are provided, sold or permitted.
